"When you solve this riddle and go to a certian place at a certian time you will defeat a minion of his and he drops nothing but a useless item (or so it seems)."
Nix the 'certain time' part. Keep GW independent of the time-based spawn crap that makes every MMO suck.

I guess your right. At a certian Time does kind of suck.

Why do you think that? From what I imagine of this being, he (or she) will be far too powerful to simply 'farm'. It is supposed to be nearly insurmountable. Unlike all the other elite bosses we have encountered, this one isn't designed to eventually lose to players. Quite the opposite in fact. This foe would require a near perfect balance of defense, offense, and speed from a group to stand a chance of defeating it. That is the proposal.
Also, if it has a random set of over-powered abilities, how can farmers consistently farm such a foe? On top of that, it's appearance is supposed to be random and rare. How do you farm something that is not always in the same area of the world? You could go on a hunt for him sure, but there's no guarantee that you'll find him. This isn't Urgoz. Nor is it The Deep. Those have a fair amount of certainty. This does not.
Up until now, all the enemies in GW have more or less been designed to die, for our gaming pleasures. This foe represents something quite different.

how about he can only appear in one zone to one group at a time, andhwere in cantha or tyria, and the first group to enter the zone he is in will be able to fight him, but any group after that will not. as soon as he is beaten or the group dies, the boss will move on to another zone, and the next group to enter that zone (any territory in the world) will be able to fight him, and so on and so on. mabye put a certain number of time between the time he is defeated to the time he moves on to a different zone.
i think this would be able to prevent farming since it would make his appearances completely random, and make him appear only once at a time like a true god like monster should.
